The villains cut Randy

It must have been those chickens getting loose but the team bonding sure had some impact on the Heroes as they scalp the villains in a first to eight sumo/bag challenge in a clean sweep.  It's humiliating.

With such an emphatic win to the Heroes, the villains retire to camp to start the inevitable process of cutting one of their own.  Do they go with the weakest player on the team or do they get rid of one of the biggest threats?

You would think that after some of them have played this game two or three times that they would have learnt by now that unless you remove the threat, you put yourself in the difficult situation of having to deal with some very crafty and devious players later off who, like an unwanted mosquito, can be incredibly difficult to get rid of and keep turning up when you don't want to feast on your blood.

Tribal council proves that the majority still haven't learnt this lesson and poor old Randy is extinguished from the game.

Heroes vote off Stephanie

If there's one thing I hate watching in shows like survivor it's seeing people who are physically strong getting hammered by the elements and the environment.  Seeing Boston Rob have a spell of unconsciousness must have sent chills through the villains camp as the reality of the environment they find themselves in impacts their very lives.  How cool must it have been though to come back from that and win the immunity challenge?

While the villains have to deal with nearly losing the very person who seems to be pulling their tribe together, the heroes seem to be falling apart.  It's embarrassing.

For the second week in a row the Heroes get their asses handed to them at the immunity challenge because they just can't get it together and work together as a team.  James just wants to win but first they're going to have to sort out their various differences and stop pulling in multiple directions.

Heroes vs Villains

 Heroes vs Villains

It's been a while since I watched a full season of Survivor and I have to admit, I've missed it.

What better place to pick it back up again though than with the 20th season of the hit show that has been running for ten years.  Can you believe it?

While previous Survivors have had Outwit, Outplay and Outlast as the theme for the series, Survivor: Heores vs Villains is all about Return, Revenge and Redemption.

The teams:

Oprah to end as Winfrey puts energies into new cable network

The 25th year of The Oprah Winfrey Show will be it's last according to a spokesperson for Harpo, which Oprah is set to confirm during tomorrow's show in the US.

Oprah has suggested calling it quits in the past but as her new cable network (OWN - Oprah Winfrey Network) launches in January 2011, the media mogul intends to place her energies there.

Oprah has impacted millions of lives across the world during the last quarter of a century and the final 20 months of the show promises to make history once again before the lights go out on the set.

S03E02 - Makeovers and balancing on a ladder

Even after losing the first contestant, the girls are upset after apparently feeling so close to Tiffany.  Are they just being nice?  Talking about it until 3am isn't smart though.  Especially when Nole is arriving at 6:10am, dressed up in a police uniform and blowing a whistle to get them out of bed.  This could be a fun day to watch.

The girls arrive at a court room where Jay is sitting in the judges chair in a robe.  Nole had told them they were guilty of fashion crimes.  Of course, they're getting told how their make overs are going to look.  Of course, they're all pretty ecstatic.

Holts Salon and Spa is the location for the the haircuts.  They're not happy to have the mirrors covered.  Lots of hair ends up on the floor.  Linsay Willier was worried about losing all her hair but ends up loving the end result.  Maryam Massoumi loves her new look.  So do I!

How can you quit so soon?

It does seem like a while ago that Jay found a Top Model.  Thousands of young women turned out with the hopes to become Canada's Next Top Model.  Twenty contestants are greeted by Jay who has arrived via helicopter on what looks to be a rather cool Toronto day.

Jay tells the twenty girls that half of them are going home right now.  They're each standing on a number which as Jay reads out, he wants them to come over and stand next to him.  The girls who have been left behind are getting anxious.  9 girls are called over and Jay tells them they're done.  But there's a twist.  Those 9 girls are already models and the 11 girls remaining are excited once they realise that one of them will be Canada's Next Top Model.

What a vicious start to this season on CTV! After thinking they were out, they're in.
