Former executive at Island Def Jam records, LA Reid has been officially tapped as the first judge on the highly anticipated American version of X-Factor.

Reid is well established in the music world backing such talent as P!nk, Justin Beiber, TLC and Mariah Carey. We also hear that he may join another record company which will also be the official record company of the show.

Simon has been very tight lipped on who he wants on the show but rumors are flying that the likes of Enrique Iglesias could host and Taylor Momsen (Gossip Girl, the Pretty Reckless) could judge.

What do you think of these names? Let us know!

We’re hearing the plans to have Jersey Shore cast member Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi could be sacked. MTV had planned to put Snooki inside of a glass ball in times square and drop her at the stroke of midnight (again, this is not a joke). But New York city officials say that’s a no go because all media outlets must adhear to the same guidlines if broadcasting from Times Square.

But now TMZ is reporting that MTV has moved the ball drop from Times Square to where it all began, the Jersey Shore house in Seaside Heights. They’ve also posted photos of the ball in question and it’s a clear glass ball with the word “Snooki” lit up across it.

God love ya, MTV.

Are you staying in for New Years Eve? Don’t want to see an orange person being lowered in a glass ball? We’ve got you covered. Take a look at our New Years Eve TV Viewing Guide. Whether you want music, or a live event.. Throng’s got you covered.

The new season of American Idol is just around the corner and with a new judge line up the big question is, will you watch?

Changes are in store across the board for the new season which is set to premiere Wednesday, January 19 on FOX and CTV. For the first time during Hollywood week over 300 traveled to the city of Angels for their chance at fame. This was up from almost 180 last year. In addition those who survive some of Hollywood week are taking a road trip to Las Vegas where they take place in a Beatles themed performance to secure their place in the finals. Word is there was bidding war for which stage show would take on American Idol, and the Mirage’s LOVE show won that chance.

Expect a host of changes this season to keep the eyeballs coming back to America’s once most loved show. With executive producer Nigel Lythgoe back on board anything is possible.

Canada’s Worst Driver concluded Monday night with the crowning (?) of Lance from Ottawa as Canada’s Worst Driver.

Drivers from across Canada descended on Dunnville, Ontario to compete for the title of Canada’s Worst Driver. The eight finalists completed challenges ranging from simple day-to-day driving tasks to high speed challenges

In the final episode Brad, Dale and Lance made their way to one of the busiest tourists areas in the country, Niagara Falls, to complete the road test challenge. Seconds after pulling out of the parking lot and onto Niagara Falls Blvd, Lance suffered a severe panic attack and was taken away by ambulance which contributed to becoming the best of the worst.

Dale didn’t fare as well either and didn’t technically “graduate” but could easily be considered the worst driver. Community members were outraged that Dale wasn’t the worst and some say that it should have been a tie.

What do you think of Lance being Canada’s Worst?

Is your friend or family member worse then Lance or Dale? Canada’s Worst Driver is casting for a new season and you can send your nomation to driver@propertelevision.com or call the tip line 1-866-598-2591.
