Syfy’s highly anticipated Defiance will have its Canadian series premiere Monday, April 15 at 10 pm ET/PT on Showcase, with a two-hour episode (culminating in a total of 12 episodes/13 hours).

Defiance, an unprecedented approach to storytelling, will unite scripted television and online gaming for the very first time. Both the series and the game feature an interconnected world and storylines that will launch in early April with the release of the game and continue seamlessly with the series premiere on the 15th.

Defiance stars Grant Bowler (Nolan), Julie Benz (Amanda Rosewater), Stephanie Leonidas (Irisa), Tony Curran (Datak Tarr), Jaime Murray (Stahma Tarr), Graham Greene (Rafe McCawley) and Mia Kirshner (Kenya).

It’s a winter of troubled teens, feisty divas and gripping original movies on Lifetime. From blood boiling stories to highly entertaining series, Lifetime’s array of compelling content will keep you warm this season as the network gets set to debut two new unscripted reality series, a selection of exclusive movies and new seasons of fan favourites throughout the month of January.

Joining the existing roster of hit series are Teen Trouble, which follows teen expert Josh Shipp as he helps families deal with their out-of-control teenagers and Double Divas, featuring Molly and Cynthia, LiviRae Lingerie shop owners, on a mission to help women with any and all intimate apparel needs.

For lovers of mystery and intrigue, Lifetime adds a trio of new and exclusive original movies to the January schedule including Prosecuting Casey Anthony (starring Emmy and Golden Globe® Nominee Rob Lowe), which chronicles the investigation of Caylee Anthony’s murder. Season three of Showcase’s supernatural hit series Haven comes to a thrilling conclusion with two back-to-back new episodes on Friday, December 21.

Beginning at 9pm ET/PT, viewers can watch the penultimate episode, “Reunion,” featuring a string of murders that bring Nathan (Lucas Bryant; The Vow) and Duke (Eric Balfour; Skyline) back to Haven High School to help Audrey (Emily Rose; ER) search for a troubled killer. Showcase’s fan favourite series, Haven, will return for a fourth season of 13 new episodes in 2013. Canadians can watch the season three finale on December 21 on Showcase.

Haven, based on the novella The Colorado Kid from renowned author Stephen King, follows former FBI agent Audrey Parker (Emily Rose), who becomes a cop in the small town of Haven, Maine, and soon discovers the town’s many secrets, which also hold the key to unlocking the mysteries of her lost past. This season the story behind those secrets is finally revealed and all of Audrey’s questions will be answered leading up to Haven’s shocking season three finale.
