Show-stopping, Canadian indie-rock darlings Metric are giving audiences a rare and intimate show at Much HQ Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 9 p.m. ET/PT with Live At Much w/ Metric.

Big Jingle, Big Jingle, Big Jingle all the way! MuchMusic and Live Nation announced today the second round of performers for the upcoming star-studded holiday event, Much Presents: The Big Jingle.

International English-Irish group The Wanted and Montréal rockers Simple Plan are hitting the stage at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on Sunday, Dec. 2, alongside the impressive roster of previously announced performers: Austin Mahone, Bridgit Mendler, Carly Rae Jepsen, Cody Simpson, and Sky Blu.

MuchMore is set to walk down the aisle with the all-new, exclusive bro-medy, Wedding Band, premiering Saturday, Nov. 10 at 10 p.m. ET.

This hilarious one-hour series follows a group of four friends who didn’t quite make it as rock stars, so they’ve settled for the next best thing: forming a killer cover band, Mother of The Bride, for weddings.

For Tommy (Brian Austin Green), Stevie (Harold Perrineau), Eddie (Peter Cambor), and Barry (Derek Miller), weddings are the wildest parties in town. MuchMusic and Live Nation announced today the first round of performers for this year’s hottest holiday event, Much Presents: The Big Jingle.

The first round of acts confirmed to touch-down at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on Sunday, Dec. 2 are pop-sensation Austin Mahone; American singer-songwriter and actress Bridgit Mendler; Canadian chart-topper Carly Rae Jepsen; Australian pop star Cody Simpson, and singer, rapper, and dancer Sky Blu, recognizable to MuchMusic fans as one half of LMFAO.

Each act will perform a few of their greatest tunes, making this concert an unforgettable holiday event. MTV today announced that Carly Rae Jepsen, fun., and Rita Ora – three of the hottest emerging acts in music today – will each make their EMA debut with performances at the “2012 MTV EMA.”

These three were identified earlier this year as MTV PUSH acts (MTV’s initiative that recognizes the most promising artists on the brink of becoming global superstars), and they’ve already set the music industry afire.

Jepsen’s smash hit “Call Me Maybe” achieved the No. 1 spot in 47 countries and has sold an incredible 10 million singles worldwide, and her new album “KISS” debuted at No. 1 in Japan and in the top 5 in 15 countries. Continue reading »

MTV today announced the first batch of performers for the “2012 MTV EMA,” with three of the world’s most popular acts in pop and rock set to take the stage in Germany.

Global superstar Taylor Swift – whose single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” reached the #1 position atop the iTunes charts in 32 countries in its first week of release – will perform at her first ever MTV EMA.

Global stadium rock stars Muse, whose last album topped the charts in 19 countries and who have sold more than 15 million albums to date, will return to the MTV EMA stage with a performance from their sixth studio album “The 2nd Law,” which is released this week. Continue reading »

MTV today announced that Heidi Klum, one of the world’s most renowned supermodels and superstars, will host the “2012 MTV EMA.”

The multi-talented and multi-tasking entertainer and entrepreneur – whose accolades run the range from fashion guru to executive producer of a hit reality franchise – will be bringing her hosting A-game to the 19th annual awards show being held in Frankfurt’s historic Festhalle.

The “2012 MTV EMA” will broadcast live on Sunday, 11th November at 9PM CET* on MTV channels around the world, and is sponsored by partners such as Microsoft and Replay.

“I’m honored to host the ‘2012 MTV EMA’ in its return to my home country of Germany,” said Klum, a native of Bergisch Gladbach, just two hours outside of Frankfurt. “The MTV EMA is one of the biggest nights in global music, fashion and culture, and I’m thrilled to play a part in bringing this one-of-a-kind show to audiences all over the world.
