Anchors Leslie Roberts, Carolyn MacKenzie, Meteorologist Anthony Farnell and Susan Hay Set Out For A Week of Special Broadcasts

(Toronto, November 13, 2007) The award-winning Global News Ontario team is set to bring back its winter 2007 version of “News from the Neighbourhood”, continuing their popular tradition of LIVE community-based newscasts.

Airing each evening starting Monday, November 19 through Friday, November 23, the special series will broadcast from various locations throughout the GTA including Oshawa, Newmarket, Milton, Mississauga and downtown Toronto.

Anchors Leslie Roberts and Carolyn MacKenzie will be joined by meteorologist Anthony Farnell, Susan Hay and the rest of the News Hour team.

In addition to covering the day’s major events, “News from the Neighbourhood” is focused on local stories from each neighbourhood as well as fascinating profiles of community leaders and exemplary residents. The week-long road trip will also include a daily edition of Susan Hay’s “Making a Difference” segment, where she will feature inspirational stories from each region, as well as special consumer reports by Sean O’Shea.
