Corus Entertainment’s YTV is launching a brand-new original prank series Extreme Babysitting, set to debut on Saturday, January 5 at 7 p.m. ET/PT, following a line-up of great comedy including Zoink’d! and Splatalot.

Extreme Babysitting is sure to make families laugh by taking a totally relatable situation – babysitting – and giving it a hilarious twist. Teens ready to take on babysitting gigs, set up by “well-meaning” family and friends, find themselves in silly situations they never saw coming.

Unbeknownst to them, the Extreme Babysitting house is filled with a cast of characters ready to pull off the ultimate babysitting prank. Add an outrageous element to the mix, like a marching band or an explosive science project, and you have a half hour of non-stop laughs.

Behind the scenes, YTV’s own on-air personality, Andy Chapman (CRUNCH) serves as the show’s “Prankmaster” adding another layer of colourful comedy to the hi-jinks. Continue reading »

This January Corus Entertainment’s W Network brings courtroom drama, tough-love therapy and high-end design back to the schedule with season premieres of four popular series.

On Friday, January 4, the final season of The Closer (Season 7) premieres at 8 p.m., followed by Season 2 of Necessary Roughness at 9 p.m.; The Good Wife Season 2 premieres Tuesday, January 8 at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. with back-to-back episodes; and on Thursday, January 10, Million Dollar Decorators Season 2 premieres at 8 p.m.

Documentary series Murder She Solved: True Crime returns for a third suspense-filled season, offering a rare inside look at the details of actual murder investigations and paying tribute to even more deserving female investigators and their teams who refuse to rest until they bring murderers to justice.

Season 3 of Murder She Solved: True Crime premieres Saturday, January 5 at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network (Canada).

As was announced earlier today by HBO, multiple Grammy winner, entrepreneur and actress Beyoncé will be the focus of an intimate feature-length HBO documentary film.

The documentary will premiere on Saturday, February 16, 2013 on HBO Canada, a multiplex channel of Astral’s The Movie Network (Eastern Canada) and Corus Entertainment’s Movie Central (Western Canada), day-and-date with HBO in the US.

Who has the best fast food in your town? Time to find out. Working with Calgary’s Pyramid Productions, CMT (Canada) has commissioned three new partner series — Burger Wars, Taco Wars and Pizza Wars. Slated to air on the network in 2013, the series touches down in Vancouver, Toronto, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Chicago, Calgary and Las Vegas and features five Burger Wars episodes, five Taco Wars episodes and four Pizza Wars episodes.

In each episode, host Cris Nannarone, a veteran road warrior and standup comedian, scours restaurants, diners, food trucks and everything in between, to find the best burger, pizza or taco. Corus Entertainment’s W Network announced today the renewal of Deal With It, the hilarious hidden camera game show from Just For Laughs Television.

Starting January, 2013, Deal With It will begin production on 20 new 30-minute episodes, doubling the order from Season One. The new season is scheduled to air in Spring on W Network.
