Five lucky homeowners will become the envy of their respective blocks as “BT’s” Jennifer Valentyne broadcasts live from a different home each day starting Monday, June 9th. The fun doesn’t stop there; not only will the selected families get to hang out with Jennifer and the Live Eye crew, they will also receive a beautiful patio set courtesy of DOT Patio and Home. On Friday June 13th, the entire “BT” gang — Kevin Frankish, Dina Pugliese, Jennifer Valentyne and Frank Ferragine will be live on location with our grand prize winner. Winners were selected from entries submitted during an online promotion at citytv.com.

Breakfast in bed? Forget it, this week we’re taking it to the backyard! Tune into “BT-BreakfastTelevision” starting Monday, June 9th as we bring the show to a neighbourhood near you.

Rogers today announced they have teamed with Citytv; channel m; 680 News and other Rogers’ news radio stations – to raise funds urgently needed for China Quake and Myanmar Cyclone victims.

The collective fundraising initiative, known as Asian Disaster Relief Appeal, will be run in partnership with the Disaster Relief Action Group (DRAG) and further solidify outreach efforts and encourage support from a diversity of communities.

In conjunction with a toll-free hotline – 1-866-660-6078 – set-up to receive pledges, Asian Disaster Relief Appeal will reach out to over 40 multilingual/multicultural audiences via regularly scheduled programming on OMNI.1 and OMNI.2 from Friday, May 30th at 7:00 a.m. until Monday, June 2nd at 12 midnight.

Special programming exclusively devoted to Asian Disaster Relief Appeal will air Sunday, June 1st on OMNI.2: in Cantonese from 9:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (ET) and in Mandarin from 9:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (ET), with an encore presentation of both language versions on Monday, June 2nd — Cantonese at 10:00 a.m. and Mandarin at 10:30 a.m.

Citytv will air 30 second promos in all markets providing viewers direction on how to make a contribution via the toll-free hotline.

In addition viewers can tune into BreakfastTelevision and CityNews programs across Canada for more information.

Viewers in channel m’s coverage area will also see Asian Disaster Relief Appeal on Sunday, June 1st, in Cantonese from 9:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and in Mandarin from 9:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (PT).

Stories specifically related to disaster relief efforts in China and Myanmar (such as background information, updates and interviews from site, and how to specify where your donation will be used) will be featured this weekend on Greek, Polish, Portuguese and Ukrainian language programming on OMNI.1, and on Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi and Tamil language programming on OMNI.2.

All five language editions of OMNI News – Cantonese, Italian Mandarin, Portuguese and South Asian will devote time to Asian Disaster Relief Appeal and these programs will all be posted online @ www.omnitv.ca/ontario shortly after broadcast.

Citytv will broadcast LIVE all day from The Hospital for Sick Children, Friday, June 6th, 2008 with the 3rd annual Citytv Herbie Day in support of Operation Herbie.

Join “CityNews” anchor Gord Martineau and a host of your favourite Citytv personalities as we broadcast live all day from the front lawn of The Hospital for Sick Children. Live coverage begins on “BT – BreakfastTelevision” and continues throughout the day on “CityNews at Noon”, “CityOnLine”, “CityNews at Five”, and “CityNews at Six”. The festivities feature live entertainment and food from around the world, including an international breakfast complete with an authentic taste of the Philippines, Thailand, and India starting at 7:00am, followed by a barbeque lunch at noon with all proceeds going to Citytv Herbie Day. CityLine has been renewed for Fall ’08, the 24th year of this award winning show. “CityLine” is the longest running and most successful daytime show for women in Canadian history and is watched by 1.7 million people weekly across Canada*.

The 08/09 season will continue to include live studio audiences and in the new season, “CityLine” will go on the road to host live audiences in other great Canadian cities. “CityLine” will move into its brand new studio in the heart of downtown Toronto at Yonge & Dundas in 2009 and all productions will continue in high definition. Citytv has been casting for the permanent host role and meeting with a number of well known Canadian entertainers from across North America – response to this casting call has been overwhelmingly positive. Robert Lawlor, Executive Producer for non-news productions, will work with “CityLine’s” veteran Supervising Producer Chrissie Rejman to select the new host and to enhance the viewer-experience.

DeAnna Papas is putting her heart on the line once more when the fourth season of “The Bachelorette” premieres with a two-hour episode, Thursday, May 22, 2008 on Citytv.

Millions of viewers watched the 26 year-old beauty, DeAnna Pappas, suffer through a painful, last-minute rejection by Brad Womack on the eleventh season of “The Bachelor” — earning her the sympathy of women everywhere. DeAnna made ‘Bachelor’ history, when she was one of the last women standing on a season where, for the first time ever, ‘The Bachelor’ didn’t choose either of the final women. In the fourth installment of the popular romantic reality series, the tables are turned as DeAnna has 25 bachelors of her own vying for her affection.

DeAnna, a real estate agent from Newnan, Georgia, comes face to face with 25 potential soul mates as she begins her own search for true love. Her suitors range from a sweet single dad, a hunky professional football player who is saving himself for marriage, a handsome science teacher, a sexy professional basketball player loaded with southern charm and an intense romantic who isn’t afraid to confront the other men about their intentions.
