Bell Media has decided that a third season of The L.A. Complex will not be getting the go-ahead.

This may well signal the end for the Canadian drama, which has always struggled to pull viewers on both Much and The CW in the US.

The CW is yet to decide whether or not to do away with the series and will hold talks with Canadian producer Epitome Pictures.

Executive producer of Epitome Pictures Stephen Sohn confirmed that they are “still exploring its options for the series,” which means the show could possibly turn up on another network. Continue reading »

Howard Stern has been confirmed to return to America’s Got Talent as a judge next season.

He will join host Nick Cannon is returning, with Howie Mandel also expected to continue next season.

HBO has released a new Game of Thrones featurette that takes a look behind the scenes at the production of the upcoming third season.

In the two-minute clip, cast and crew briefly discuss the characters, locations and costumes that will be seen in the third run next year.

CTV has confirmed they will be producing a Canadian version of The Amazing Race.

In a special on-air message from Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan, it was confirmed that a local version of the show will anchor the summer 2013 schedule on CTV.

CTV has licensed the Canadian rights from Disney-ABC Television and have enlisted the help of Insight Productions to produce the series with support from Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri’s Profiles Television.

“The Amazing Race Canada is a big show for a big network,” said Phil King, President, CTV Programming and Sports. “Canadians deserve their own summer version, distinct from what is seen in fall and winter. With the incredible diversity, scope, beauty, and sheer land mass that Canada has to offer, The Amazing Race Canada will explore the world within Canada. Charlie Sheen has waded into the Angus T Jones YouTube controversy and once again attacked Two and a Half men creator Chuck Lorre.

Jones, who plays Jake on the sitcom, recently urged fans to stop watching the show as he says it’s “filth”.

“Obviously, not having been there for some time, the Angus T Jones that I knew and still love is not the same guy I saw on YouTube,” Sheen told TMZ.

“I dare anyone to spend ten years in the laugh-track that is Chuck Lorre’s hive of oppression and not suffer some form of an emotional tsunami.” Continue reading »

Former American Idol judge Steven Tyler has offered his opinion on the current crop of judges and caused a bit of controversy at the same time.

The Aerosmith frontman gave his thoughts on the supposed Nicki Minaj/Mariah Carey beef, telling MTV: “They should have something going on, which is calledcamaraderie.”

He continued: “They should have something going on so thick and beautiful that they can lay it over the new talent that’s trying to birth itself. It needs to be birthed, not judged by ‘entertainment’ factors, it needs to be judged by people that [are] honest, true, that have the ‘it’ factor. Not the ‘it’ factor because they can fight. Canadian actress Kathleen Robertson has nabbed a role in a new pay TV movie from indie producer Incendo.

The Boss actress will take on the role of an FBI agent investigating the death of a CEO in Time of Death, which is now shooting in Montreal.

A bunch of new images have been released for the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas special The Snowmen.

The cast for the Victorian-set thriller includes Richard E. Grant, Neve McIntosh, Catrin Stewart and Dan Starkey alongside Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman.

The Snowmen airs on Space on Christmas Day, Tuesday, Dec. 25 at 9 p.m. ET.

Over 50 hours has been acquired by Shaw for BBC Canada, while Rogers has claimed over 30 hours for G4 Canada.

It’s so far so good for The Bachelor Canada Brad Smith and his fiancée Bianka Kamber.

The pair, who got engaged on the season finale of the Citytv series, are still together and seemingly happy.

Smith tweeted a photo recently of Bianka chowing down on some Wendy’s with the caption: “Yes…..lord I have found my perfect woman!!! Bianka Kamber and I are smashing late night #wendys #fatties.”

The show finished filming five months ago and the pair have had to keep their relationship under wraps since then.

However, Smith says they have been on four vacations in that time including a two-week trip immediately after the show paid for by the producers. Continue reading »
