The 2013 HOCKEY HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE ANNOUNCEMENT will be made by Bill Hay, Hockey Hall of Fame CEO and Chairman of the Board, along with Co-Chairs of the Hockey Hall of Fame Selection Committee Jim Gregory and Pat Quinn.

Among the first-year eligible players for the Hockey Hall of Fame are Rob Blake, Rod Brind’Amour, Chris Chelios, Scott Niedermayer, Paul Kariya, and Markus Naslund.

StellaSistersTwo young Canadian singers have been promoted to series regulars on the TV drama Nashville.

The 13 and 9-year-old Stella Sisters, Lennon and Maisy, were originally cast to play the daughters of Rayna (Connie Britton) and Teddy (Eric Close) in the pilot and continued to appear occasionally throughout the season.

The pair are the real-life daughters of country music duo Marylynne and Brad Stella and shot to fame through a viral video on YouTube.

They have also found success on iTunes, including their cover of ‘Hey Ho!’ by the Lumineers. Continue reading »

Chen told the American morning program The Talk that it “stung” to hear the comments from Aaryn Gries.

“When I first heard found out that Aaryn [Gries], who is a 22-year-old girl, made anti-gay, anti-black and anti-Asian comments, I have to be honest, the Asian ones hit me the most. I heard about her describing Asians as ‘squinty-eyed’ and ‘go make a bowl of rice,’ ” Chen said. Continue reading »

HowI MetYourMotherWayneBradyThe ninth and final season of How I Met Your Mother will feature a whole lot more of Wayne Brady.

The comic will reprise his role as Barney’s (Neil Patrick Harris) half-brother James in several episodes of the final season, which is due to play out entirely over the weekend of Barney and Robin’s wedding.

Brady confirmed the news via Twitter: “Just got back from my 1st HIMYM fitting of the season! Can’t wait to shoot on Wed! You may be seeing a little more “James” this season! Yes!”

Brady last appeared on the series in season seven, where he adopted a second child with his partner Tom.

The actor has down-sized his commitment to the comedy series and will appear in only five of the show’s 13-episode fifth season.

Glover is set to spend more time on his musical career with Childish Gambino.

Creator Dan Harmon has been confirmed to be returning to the series alongside executive producer Chris McKenna.

TheKillingHughDillonHugh Dillon has praised his storyline with co-star Peter Sarsgaard on The Killing, saying filming scenes with Sarsgaard “couldn’t be better”.

The storyline sees the Canadian actor, who plays death row prison guard Francis Becker, caught in a “dark duet” with Sarsgaard’s inmate character Ray Seward.

“It’s a dark duel. It’s the antagonist’s antagonist. It’s the bad guy to the bad guy, who’s cloaked as an authority figure,” Dillon tells The Hollywood Reporter. “[The writing] instilled that kind of tension in the words and the characters. Continue reading »
