doctor who20135Doctor Who will officially return or an eighth season, it has been confirmed.

The BBC announced the news over the weekend, stating that Brian Minchin will be joining Steven Moffat as executive producer of the series.

A blog post on the official website confirmed that Moffat was “already plotting a brand new run of adventures for the Doctor”.

MohawkGirlsThe director of the new APTN series Mohawk Girls says she wants to give these women a voice.

“I grew up on the reserve feeling invisible, voiceless, in all aspects of my life — here on the reserve, out in the bigger world. I felt really boxed in,” says Tracey Deer.

“I’m making a show about my own life, about my sister’s life, my friends’, my cousins’,” she adds.

New Zealand morning TV program Breakfast today enlisted Tenacious D duo Jack Black and Kyle Glass to present the morning weather report and they didn’t disappoint.

Black particularly struggled with pronouncing the many Maori place names.

Canadian skeleton champ Jon Montgomery is believed to be the man who will look to emulate Phil Keoghan in the new CTV series this July.

Earlier this week, the reality show filmed at Regina’s Mosaic Stadium and several photos were snapped showing the Vancouver 2010 Olympic gold medallist filming in front of the camera.

warehouse-13The Toronto-shot sci-fi series Warehouse 13 has been renewed for a fifth season by Syfy.

Production will commence on the final season of the show in Toronto this summer for a 2014 release.

Psy2MuchMusic has managed to lock in South Korean popstar Psy as co-host of the 2013 MuchMusic Video Awards.

The Gangnam Style singer will make his live Canadian television hosting and performance debut at the awards in June.

A campaign has been launched by the non-profit group to see the two gay characters played by Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson get hitched in a bid to raise awareness of marriage equality.

“We’re doing this not just because we love Modern Family, but because we are at a watershed moment when the Supreme Court is considering two cases regarding the freedom to marry; when states are passing marriage equality laws with increasing frequency; and a majority of Americans support marriage equality,” the wedding-themed petition invitation reads. MeghanOryCanadian actress Meghan Ory is departing Once Upon A Time in order to take up a full-timerole on Intelligence.

“My agents spoke with the [Once] producers, who said, “If she wants to go look for something, that’s fine,’” Ory told TV Guide.

B.C. girl Ory has been a regular as Ruby on the second season of Once Upon A Time but has been absent since the New York episode.
