FOX has committed to a script for Eat, Pray, Thug based on the real life of rapper Heems (formerly of hip-hop group Das Racist) and his relationship with his Indian-American parents who live with him in Queens.

After a single episode, Blindspot has been given an order for another nine scripts.

Wheeler Dealer is a half hour comedy inspired by the true story of Damon Jones’ sister, a suburban housewife and mother who inherits her deceased husband’s struggling car dealership in rural West Texas — Friday Night Lights country.

NBC is developing the comedy Manhood which looks at what it means to be a man today, when the gender lines have never been blurrier.

Ty Burrell’s (Modern Family) production company has sold its first show to FOX. Hosed is a workplace comedy about volunteer firefighters in America’s second-rainiest town.

ABC Family has picked up an untitled scripted comedy series about Nicki Minaj and her life growing up in Queens.
