As the case unfolds and suspicions rise, Robin’s limits are tested, sending her on a journey of self-discovery.

In the premiere episode of TOP OF THE LAKE (Saturday, July 13 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo), Detective Robin Griffin returns to her small community in New Zealand to care for her mother. Local police enlist Robin, a child protection specialist, to take on the disappearance case of a pregnant 12-year-old girl named Tui.

With few clues about her perpetrator, the town’s knot of long-buried secrets begins to unravel and the entire community is under a cloud of suspicion. The chief suspect in the case is Tui’s father, a menacing local figure with a violent past who is also embroiled in a land dispute with a new age women’s encampment. Robin’s investigation heightens tensions in the town and hints at a personal history she hoped to keep a secret.

TOP OF THE LAKE also stars David Wenham (The Lord of the Rings) and Lucy Lawless (XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS), who has a cameo role as the estranged wife of a real estate agent who crosses drug lord Matt Mitchum.
