George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight returning July 1

CBC/RADIO-CANADA - Co-hosts of the 32nd ANNUAL GENIE AWARDSGeorge Stroumboulopoulos Tonight returns with brand new episodes next week.

July kicks off with a Canada Day special Monday, July 1, featuring World Figure Skating Champions and Olympic Gold medalistsTessa Virtue and Scott Moir and the hilarious Ron James (The Ron James Show on CBC Television).

Throughout the month, GEORGE STROUMBOULOPOULOS TONIGHT will feature a wide range of icons, original thinkers and artists in the red chair, including:

George will also host CBC’s Canada Day International, the inaugural free summer festival in New York’s Central Park June 29. GEORGE STROUMBOULOPOULOS TONIGHT airs Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. (7:30 NT), with an encore airing at 11:30 p.m. (12:00 NT). The show is taped daily in front of a live studio audience at the CBC Broadcasting Centre in Toronto. Tania Natscheff is executive producer and Dan Hughes is senior producer.
