Big Brother Canada is the most popular Canadian show on social media

BigBrother_Canada640The inaugural season of Big Brother Canada has proven to be a hit on social media.

A quarterly report on Canadian social TV trends by the Montreal-based social media analytics firm Seevibes and Evolumedia Group shows the Global and Slice series had a massive impact when it came to interaction on social media.

The series notched up a total of 116 million impressions and 120,000 interactions during its January-April run this year.

71% of the chatter played out on Twitter, with 74% of that coming from female fans.

Global was also the most followed Canadian network on social media during that period.

CTV had the most total interactions during the period, with Global in second place.
