Justin Bieber has made his debut on The Simpsons.

The Canadian singer appeared in a brief cameo on the show alongside his manger Scooter Braun in tonight’s episode entitled ‘The Fabulous Faker Boy’.

The first trailer for the new Arrested Development season has been released.

The new episodes will debut on Netflix at the same time on May 26.

Defiance2Showcase’s new series Defiance has been given a second season.

Julie Benz, Grant Bowler and co. will return for another season in the Toronto-shot series, which has proven popular with audiences on both sides of the border.

New Democratic Party leader Thomas Mulcair has channelled Arrested Development to burn the PM on the subject of $3.1 billion in unaccounted anti-terrorism spending.

“Is the money just in the wrong filing cabinet, is it hidden in the minister’s gazebo, is the money in the banana stand?” Mulcair asked in the House of Commons.

Apparently only $250,000 was stashed in the Bluth’s banana stand so if this is the case then there’s plenty of searching to come.

The show certainly isn’t the behemoth it used to be. It was unstoppable in the days of Jackson, Cowell and Abdul, owning the #1 position in its US timeslot from 2003-2011.

Nowadays, the show pulls an average of 11 million per episode, which is less than half of what it was managing a few years ago.

The Canadian actor has seen his new drama series Touch cancelled by its American network and at the same time news has spread of a potential return of 24.

The Fox network is looking at the bringing 24 back as a limited series with Sutherland returning as the bad-ass Jack Bauer.

No deals are in place yet but the idea is in motion with former 24 showrunner Howard Gordon (Homeland) involved. Continue reading »

Touch2013Kiefer Sutherland’s drama series Touch will not be returning for a third season.

The Canadian actor features in the Tim Kring (Heroes) produced drama alongside new additions Mario Bello and Lukas Haas.

Touch is currently in its second season, which has struggled to pull audiences in the US. Its premiere drew only 1.1 million (adults 18-49) on Fox.
