OLN has commenced production in Ontario on Storage Wars Canada which will run for 36 episodes.

Hasting cites the launch of Videotron and the potential new services from Rogers and Bell-Astral (pending a merger) as proving challenging for Netflix in the country.

“In each nation people are adopting internet television, we’ll win part of the viewing and part of the affection, not the whole thing,” Hastings said. “The only thing we can really control is what we do, so we’re focused on how do we make the service a little bit better, how do we get the content a little bit better, how do we get the marketing a little bit better? x_factor_kelly_rowlandSimon Cowell will sit alongside three women on the judging panel for The X Factor USA next season.

It was confirmed today that former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland and Latin singer Paulina Rubio will replace LA Reid and Britney Spears on the show.

Rowland is fresh from her stint on the panel of The X Factor in the UK while Rubio has experience as a coach on the Mexican version of The Voice, La Voz… Mexico.

doctor who20135Doctor Who will officially return or an eighth season, it has been confirmed.

The BBC announced the news over the weekend, stating that Brian Minchin will be joining Steven Moffat as executive producer of the series.

A blog post on the official website confirmed that Moffat was “already plotting a brand new run of adventures for the Doctor”.

“I grew up on the reserve feeling invisible, voiceless, in all aspects of my life — here on the reserve, out in the bigger world. I felt really boxed in,” says Tracey Deer.

“I’m making a show about my own life, about my sister’s life, my friends’, my cousins’,” she adds.

New Zealand morning TV program Breakfast today enlisted Tenacious D duo Jack Black and Kyle Glass to present the morning weather report and they didn’t disappoint.

Black particularly struggled with pronouncing the many Maori place names.

Canadian skeleton champ Jon Montgomery is believed to be the man who will look to emulate Phil Keoghan in the new CTV series this July.

Earlier this week, the reality show filmed at Regina’s Mosaic Stadium and several photos were snapped showing the Vancouver 2010 Olympic gold medallist filming in front of the camera.
