Awards will be handed out to the league’s top players, coaches and execs during two TV specials that will air during coverage of the sport’s showpiece.

Selke Trophy, Jack Adams Award, King Clancy Memorial Trophy, Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award, NHL Foundation Player award and NHL General Manager of the Year Award will be announced. HOMELAND (Season 2)Some major details have been revealed regarding the third season of Homeland.

Co-creator Alex Gansa released a few snippets in a recent interview in the US, saying the season will tackle a whole lot more than just the Body and Carrie saga.

“The issue in this season is, what happens if it were learned that a major attack on the United States was sponsored by a state …the biggest piece of all is you know the aftermath of a second 9/11 attack…there is this interesting question which is, the CIA has proved in our show incapable of protecting itself. How can it be expected to protect the country…these are the big concerns that we’re going to deal with in the first sweep of episodes,” Gansa said. Continue reading »

Next week on Rookie Blue (“Homecoming” – Thursday, May 30 at 10pm ET/PT) – It’s her first day back at 15 Division, and Andy must work with Swarek to track down an ex-convict determined to get his old life back at any cost. SpongeBob fans and filmmakers of all ages from around the world are invited to create original, SpongeBob-inspired short films for a chance to win a cash prize and trip for four people to a screening event in Hollywood, California.

The call for Canadian entries will run until Friday, June 28, 2013 and can be submitted in two categories (under 18 years of age, and 18 and over) to www.spongebobsquareshorts.com.

Silverman will host two main stages on July 27 while fellow SNLer Meyers will host his own gala on July 25.

Izzard will host a July 24 gala alongside international acts while Rivers will perform on July 27.

CBC/RADIO-CANADA - Co-hosts of the 32nd ANNUAL GENIE AWARDSAn airdate has been set for George Stroumboulopoulos’ TV debut in the US.

The Canadian talkshow king will make his first appearance on CNN on Sunday, June 9 at 10pm ET.

Stroumboulopoulos will follow the season finale of Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown for its premiere before slipping in to its regular timeslot from Friday, June 14 at 11pm ET.

YTVA new teen sitcom is coming to Canada and casting is open right now.

YTV are casting for the new project that will begin filming in Vancouver, BC this summer.

What’s the show about? Well, when 14-year-old Jarvis Raines’ house is nearly destroyed on Christmas morning by a defective toy, he sues the company and ends up owning it. His first act as CEO is to fire the existing staff and replace it with kids from his high school — each with a valuable skill.
