Rogers has confirmed that they will be dropping the channel, which carries TNA Impact Wrestling, from their VIP tier to the Classic tier.

This results in subscribers having to pay more to access it after May 25.

THE X FACTOR: Pink logo.Just hours after auditioning for The X Factor USA, a contestant stole a car and led the police on a high speed chase.

20-year-old Orrion Wilson attended the New Orleans auditions for the series before stealing a car that was left running at a gas station.

The subsequent chase ended with a forced spin-out.

And Wilson’s reason for stealing the car? He had run out of money and needed a car to drive to New York for the round two audition. Continue reading »

HeroesHeroes may be revived thanks to a new programming initiative from MSN.

The company is starting a push to have more original content on their Xbox platform and new episodes of Heroes is something they are looking into.

MSN is interested in re-launching the series with new heroes and stories while featuring cameos from the original series cast.

Heroes last season aired in early 2010.

GlobalBCGlobal BC’s News Hour will hit the road next month for a cross-province community tour.

Led by Anchor Chris Gailus alongside Sports Anchor Squire Barnes and Meteorologist Kristi Gordon, the News Hour on the Road tour will broadcast live from five different B.C. communities, giving viewers a chance to catch the province’s most-watched newscast up-close and in-person. The News Hour on the Road tour begins Monday, May 6.

Tonight’s episode of George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight will feature a re-broadcast of the late Rita MacNeil’s interview on the show from December last year.

The special interview will air in both the 7pm and 11.30pm episodes on CBC.

Family_Guy_Turban_CowboyAn internet hoax has fooled some into believing that a Family Guy episode was depicting the Boston Marathon bombings.

The video was in fact two separate clips edited together from a recent episode to make it look like Peter Griffin won the Boston Marathon by detonating explosions.

The show’s creator Seth MacFarlane shut down rumours that the circulating clip was real, tweeting: “The edited Family Guy clip currently circulating is abhorrent. The event was a crime and a tragedy, and my thoughts are with the victims.”

The clips in question were taken from separate points in the episode entitled ‘Turban Cowboy’, which aired in the US on March 17 this year. Continue reading »

Last night’s premiere drew over 500,000 viewers (2+) and over 250 ,000 viewers, adults 25-54.

The Canadian ratings come on the back of big numbers on Syfy in the US, where is was deemed the most-watched launch on the channel since 2006’s Eureka.
