Production begins in Toronto on second season of Copper

Copper2013Filming has commenced on the second season of Shaw Media series Copper.

The 1860s New York City drama, which will return with a new order of 13 episodes, has started production in Toronto and will continue in the city through until July.

Veteran actor Donal Logue (Sons of Anarchy) has joined the cast for the second season to play the role of Brendan Donovan, a General who has recently returned from the Civil War to his station at Five Points.

“Season two is driven by flawed and haunted characters living in explosive times,” says creator Tom Fontana. “Each of them is looking for renewal in the wake of last season’s revelations and violent upheaval. The on-going storylines follow Detective Corcoran and company on their paths to redemption or ruin.”
