WalterWhiteHe may be called “Chemistry Enthusiast” for trademark reasons but this Lego figurine is Walter White all the way.

The Citizen Brick company, which specialises in customised (and unlicensed) Lego pieces, has created this little guy based on the Breaking Bad character played by Bryan Cranston.

The company says they don’t fear the legal wrath of Lego or Breaking Bad’s network AMC as they think both corporations will appreciate that it is merely a “fans tribute”. Continue reading »

Matt Damon finally got his revenge on Jimmy Kimmel.

The actor has been a continuing joke on Jimmy Kimmel Live for a long time, with Kimmel signing off with “Apologies to Matt Damon, we ran out of time” for years now.

However, this week Damon sought revenge on Kimmel, taking over as host of the show – now entitled Jimmy Kimmel Sucks – with a bound and gagged Kimmel watching on from the stage.

At the end, Damon asked Kimmel: “Is there anything you want to say before we wrap things up? Wait, I’m sorry, we’re out of time.”

HIMYM2Looks like How I Met Your Mother will indeed be returning for another season according to two of its cast members.

While a ninth season is yet to be officially confirmed, Josh Radnor and Neil Patrick Harris spoke of the next season to two media outlets saying it’s going ahead.

“It was great [to get another season],” Radnor told Access Hollywood. “When there was fear that we were suddenly just going to not come back, it felt a little weird to end like, oh, 10 more episodes and you’re done with this massive chapter of your life.” Continue reading »

Jean-Francois MercierFat jokes about women are OK on TV according to the Broadcast Standards Council in Canada.

Quebec’s TVA network decided to test this with comedian Jean-Francois Mercier making several jokes about an obese woman he went on a blind date with during a comedy gala broadcast last year.

Mercier went a step further by pointing at a “large” woman in the crowd and accusing her of not laughing at his jokes. She left the premises after exchanging words with him.

The incident was revealed to be a stunt in the end with the same woman jumping out of a giant cake on stage. Continue reading »

The Amazing RaceA former Toronto Maple Leaf has been cast in the latest season of The Amazing Race.

Bates Battaglia will set off with his hockey-playing brother around the world in an attempt to make it back first to win the $1 million prize.

Left wing Battaglia played for the Leafs between 2006 and 2008 and over the course of his career had stints with the Carolina Hurricanes, Colorado Avalanche and Washington Capitals.

The series returns to CTV on Sunday, 17 February at 8pm ET/PT.


It hasn’t even aired yet but Kate Upton’s Super Bowl ad for Mercedes is already being attacked by parenting groups.

The 90-second ad features mode Upton watching a group of young male football players wash a new Mercedes car.

It was posted on Mercedes’ YouTube channel this week and will air on TV for the first time during February’s Super Bowl.

The disgraced cyclist, who this month confessed to doping throughout his career, was offered a spot on the reality series by ABC but declined the offer.

It is reported that the network approached Armstrong prior to his confession on Oprah.
