Apple boss hints at more involvement in TV

Apple head honcho Tim Cook has hinted that the technology firm is looking to stride into the television sector once again.

So far the company has stuck with its Apple TV streaming set top box but Cook said this week that TV remains an “area of intense interest” for the company.

“It’s an area of intense interest. I can’t say more than that,” he told reporters.

He went on to describe his view of TV: “When I go into my living room and turn on the TV, I feel like I have gone backwards in time by 20 to 30 years.”

There have been strong rumours this year that Apple will launch an integrated TV set.
