Montreal Alouettes quarterback Anthony Calvillo to deliver weather on CTV Montreal

CTV Montréal continues a month of celebrity weather broadcasts with Montreal Alouettes Quarterback Anthony Calvillo at the helm of its second instalment airing tomorrow, Tuesday, November 6 at 6 p.m. ET.

Calvillo’s weathercast follows last week’s weather news brought to viewers by Canadiens’ Defenceman P.K. Subban, during a four-week special series of surprise weathercasters on CTV NEWS AT SIX.

Calvillo, the all-time professional football passing yards leader, three-time Grey Cup championship winner, and Alouettes’ star quarterback joins CTV Weather Expert Lori Graham in the CTV Weather Centre for a crash course in meteorology. With his best game face, Calvillo is then on his own to deliver the weather forecast that evening for viewers.

Calvillo will make several appearances during Tuesday’s broadcast, including an interview at the anchor desk with CTV Montréal’s Mutsumi Takahashi and Paul Karwatsky.

“We are delighted to showcase a fun, weekly celebrity weathercast on CTV NEWS AT SIX, and Anthony is the perfect home team talent addition to follow up P.K.’s kick-off last week,” said Louis Douville, Vice-President and General Manager, CTV Montréal. “We are proud to showcase a different side of this enormously talented athlete here in our newsroom, and Anthony’s energy and enthusiasm are a great fit for Montréal’s #1 English-language news program.”
