Hour-long Metric special in Live at Much w/ Metric, Nov. 20

Show-stopping, Canadian indie-rock darlings Metric are giving audiences a rare and intimate show at Much HQ Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 9 p.m. ET/PT with Live At Much w/ Metric.

In this live-to-air, one-hour edition of Live at Much, Metric performs a whopping eight songs including their smash hits “Gimme Sympathy,” “Stadium Love,” and their most recent hit single from their latest album Synthetica, “Youth Without Youth.” The band also sits down with MuchMusic host Lauren Toyota to chat about its most recent release and current 2012 tour presented by MuchMusic.

An independent rock and roll band empowered by their innovative approach to the music business, Metric self-released its fourth album Fantasies on five continents and earned multiple radio hits around the world with songs such as “Gimme Sympathy,” “Gold Guns Girls,” and “Help I’m Alive.” Fantasies went on to sell over a million singles and 500,000 copies worldwide. The fifth full-length studio album Synthetica was released in June 2012 and includes the smash hit single “Youth Without Youth” which helped Metric make Canadian Radio history at Alternative Radio by becoming the only band in the chart’s history to debut at #1 and stay there for 16 weeks. Sonically futuristic yet organic, Synthetica sounds like the culmination of all the music the band has made in 10 years together.

Much is proud to present the Canadian leg of Metric’s tour to support the latest album Synthetica, featuring the huge hit single “Youth Without Youth”. Much Presents: Metric also features musical act Stars as the opening act. Fans who want a chance to snag free tickets for Metric’s tour stops in Kingston, ON (Nov. 23) and in Toronto, ON (Nov. 24), can tune into NEW.MUSIC.LIVE., Friday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. ET, for the chance to win.
