Weeds returns to Canadian screens, September 4

The exclusive Canadian premiere of Weeds Season 8 delivers drama, excitement and scandal to IFC. The hotly anticipated, long-running hit series returns with its final season to burn up Canadian screens starting Tuesday, September 4 at 11:15pm ET.

Mary-Louise Parker returns in her Golden Globe Award-winning performance as Nancy Botwin, a former suburban widow who turned to selling marijuana to make ends meet and has since bloomed into a full-fledged queenpin. Season 8 picks up with the answers to the burning questions left from the smoking season finale. Chiefly, which of the beloved Botwins was the shooter’s target and who pulled the trigger?
The fallout from the shocking shooting transforms the Botwins for the better – at least initially. The tragedy causes Nancy to turn over a new leaf and return to her pre-dealing, soccer mom ways. Meanwhile, Andy finds some semblance of love, and Doug uses his hedge-fund money in a surprisingly good way. But, as always, nothing is as serene as it seems in their new home of Old Sandwich, Connecticut.

Weeds Season 8 premieres Tuesday, September 4 at 11:15pm ET and repeats Wednesdays at 9:45pm ET.
