Sins and Secrets returns for a second season, Sept. 20 on Investigation Discovery

When a murder occurs, the town in which it happened will never be the same. In the immersive true-crime series, Sins and Secrets, the city is the main character, focusing on the unique details and dark underbelly of the communities where the crime took place.

Premiering Thursday, September 20 at 10 p.m. ET/11 p.m. PT on Investigation Discovery, this 13-part series explores the investigation, the mystery, and the scandal that forever alters a city.

A single bullet wreaks havoc in Lexington, Kentucky. University of Kentucky football player Trent Diguiro is gunned down by a sniper’s bullet. For years the case goes unsolved, until a former student comes forward and helps identify the killer.

SINS AND SECRETS – “Anchorage”

Mechele Hughes is to become the wife of a local fisherman, until her fiancée is found murdered in the wilderness of Anchorage, Alaska. An unexpected confession nine years later reveals the truth behind the man’s death: a sinister “love triangle.”

Michelle Theer is an Air Force wife in the military town of Fayetteville, North Carolina until a fatal shooting makes her a widow. The investigation into her husband’s death leads police to the door of an Army Ranger who has been taking orders from very improbable accomplices.

Tampa, Florida bartender Sandee Rozzo is killed, and police suspect personal trainer Tracey Humphrey as the culprit. They ask one of Humphrey’s clients to wear a wire, and discover he convinced an unlikely accomplice to pull the trigger.

A respected horticulturalist in Key West, Florida is murdered by a former tenant and possible lover (“Key West”). Police discover three mutilated bodies behind Julie Bullard’s hotel in Newry, Maine (“Newry”). Two dismembered bodies are found in connection with the armed robbery charges facing Erika and BJ Sifrit in Ocean City, Maryland (“Ocean City”). Chicago, Illinois’ Becky Klien’s sudden disappearance reveals a full-blown murder mystery, complete with sex, drugs, and true love gone horribly awry (“Chicago”). A grisly murder in Rome, Georgia leaves the residents of the conservative town reeling (“Rome”).The Stout family’s dream life in Missoula, Montana comes crashing down when Anne finds her husband murdered in their bed (“Missoula”). The disappearance of two avid hunters puts the tiny town of Mio, Michigan in the crosshairs of a criminal investigation (“Mio”). A young socialite disappears from an old Charleston, South Carolina family and it sets the city on edge (“Charleston”).
