Shaw Media launching Lifetime channel in August

Shaw Media is cranking up the heat bringing one of the hottest female focused cable channels in the U.S. to Canada.

Launching August 27th, Lifetime is home to the most talked-about series that women connect with. With a fall schedule that includes a number of critically-acclaimed scripted series and exclusive hit reality shows and movies never before aired in Canada, the channel features top Hollywood stars and captivating real-life personalities.

At launch, Lifetime. will be available on a three-month free preview in nearly 10 million homes across the country.

This fall Lifetime boasts a roster of smash-hit series like Dance Moms, The Client List, Drop Dead Diva and The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet, and must-see original movies featuring A-list stars including Lindsay Lohan and Grant Bowler in Liz & Dick, acclaimed singer, songwriter and actress, Jewel in Ring of Fire and Queen Latifah in Steel Magnolias.
