Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations returns July 31 on Discovery World HD

Although it’s the foreign food that best captures Anthony Bourdain’s attention, it is only part of a wider experience.

In Season 7 and 8 of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations the TV personality, best-selling author, public speaker, weary-world traveller, and foodie returns for a brand-new 26-part journey, beginning Tuesday, July 31 at 10 p.m. ET/11 p.m. PT on Discovery World HD.

As Bourdain explores every corner of the globe, he encounters the weird, wild and downright outrageous personalities and places that help define the international cultural landscape.

Season 7 finds Bourdain in Hokkaido; touring Chernobyl; venturing through war zone Kurdistan; humbled in Haiti; immersed in the Amazon; enjoying one last meal at “the best restaurant in the world” in El Bulli; visiting the home of fireworks in Macau; taking the “Pus Stick” challenge in Vienna; tasting authentic Italian cuisine in Naples; going off the beaten path in Cajun Country; and being scorched by the sun in the U.S. desert.

The adventure continues in Season 8 when Bourdain swims with Bluefin tuna in the Croatian coast; visits his Finnish Facebook friends; finds himself in mysterious Mozambique; experiences the cultural and culinary renaissance happening in Lisbon; hangs out with the Black Keys in Kansas City; experiences Baja for the first time; samples fresh snapper in Penang; visits Japan for “Cook it Raw”; and celebrates the holidays with Norah Jones, Samantha Brown, and Christopher Walken.
