What would Canadians get rid of first: TV or social media?

A recent survey has found that Canadians would prefer to go without social media rather than TV.

When asked by Ipsos whether they would give up social media or TV first, 72 per cent of Canadians chose to ditch Facebook and Twitter.

This trend was particularly strong in North America and Europe, with 76 per cent of Americans choosing TV.

Globally it was more even, with only 58 per cent of people willing to ditch social media compared to 42 who would get rid of TV.

Age-wise, the figures also varied, with people under 35 years old evenly split between TV and social media while over 60 per cent of those older than 35 chose to get rid of social media.
