Lisa LaFlamme conducts CTV’s annual Conversation with the Prime Minister, Dec. 26

Taped earlier today, CTV News Chief Anchor and Senior Editor Lisa LaFlamme delivers CTV’s annual year-end interview with the Prime Minister in the one-hour exclusive CTV special presentation A CONVERSATION WITH THE PRIME MINISTER, Monday, Dec. 26 at 7 p.m. ET (visit to confirm local broadcast times).

The special airs again on CTV Two on Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 10 a.m. ET and Saturday, Dec. 31 at 7 p.m. ET. As well, the interview will be available on-demand at immediately following the premiere broadcast.

“A CONVERSATION WITH THE PRIME MINISTER is a tradition at CTV and one we are very proud to maintain,” said Wendy Freeman, President, CTV News. “Each year, CTV delivers a unique opportunity for Canadians to hear from the Prime Minister in an intimate and reflective conversation about the year that passed, and the vision for the future.”

This year’s interview includes unprecedented access to the Prime Minister and Mrs. Harper. Viewers will get a glimpse of the Prime Minister’s professional and personal lives from working in his private office on Parliament Hill to Harrington Lake, the country retreat for Canada’s Prime Ministers. LaFlamme’s interview discusses everything from national and international politics to what he misses most about his pre-Prime Minister life, to raising children at 24 Sussex Drive, and how Facebook factors into modern parenting.

A CONVERSATION WITH THE PRIME MINISTER has been an annual year-end CTV tradition since the network’s first interview with Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson more than four decades ago. Since then successive Canadian Prime Ministers have shared their perspective on the year gone by and their hopes for the future in the hour-long special presentation. Brett Mitchell is the Senior Producer of A CONVERSATION WITH THE PRIME MINISTER. Anton Koschany is Executive Producer. Wendy Freeman is President of CTV News. Phil King is President, CTV Programming and Sports.
