Space miniseries Neverland premieres on Dec. 18

In this world, time stands still. This December, viewers can venture to the fantastic realm of NEVERLAND, a two-night, four-hour miniseries event, premiering Sunday, Dec. 18 and Monday, Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on SPACE and SPACE HD.

Peter Pan and Neverland have been the subject of countless stories, however there has never been an account quite like this.

The stellar cast of filmic juggernauts including Bob Hoskins, Charlie Rowe and Keira Knightley lend their talents to realizing the adventure in this two-part drama.

Whether viewers have been naughty or nice this year, viewers won’t want to grow up as they are dazzled by the classic characters, including Hook, Smee, Tinker Bell, The Lost Boys and of course, the magical Peter Pan. SPACE delivers the ultimate holiday experience with no limits!

In NEVERLAND, a young boy named Peter and his streetwise gang is magically swept away from the back alleys of turn-of-the-century London to a realm of legendary mystery and adventure. Set in part on the streets of Dickensian London as well as the enchanting parallel universe of Neverland, viewers will discover the origins of Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Croc, The Lost Boys, The Indians and Tinker Bell.

In Part One of NEVERLAND, orphaned Peter and his friends survive the streets of London as pickpockets. Following directions from their mentor, Jimmy Hook, the boys are to snatch a priceless – some say, magical – crystal orb hidden away in an antique store known for precious artifacts. When the boys find the orb they discover that it is home to a winged fairy named Tinker Bell as well as a portal to another world. Through the orb, Hook, Peter and the boys are magically transported into Neverland, a fantastic realm of white jungles and legendary adventure where unknown dangers and enemies await the new travelers.

The action of this adventure in NEVERLAND is realized with the use of state-of-the-art virtual stages, completed by a record-breaking number of visual effects, rarely seen in a television miniseries.

Executively produced by Robert Halmi, Sr. (MERLIN), NEVERLAND stars Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill) as Captain Hook, Golden Globe nominee Anna Friel (Pushing Daisies) as Elizabeth Bonny, Golden Globe-winner Bob Hoskins (Hook, Snow White and the Huntsman) reprising his role as Smee from Steven Speilberg’s hit film Hook, Oscar-nominated actress Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribbean) as the voice of Tinker  Bell, and Charlie Rowe (Never Let Me Go) as Peter.
