Production underway on A Russell Peters Christmas Special on The Comedy Network

The Comedy Network announced today that production is underway on A RUSSELL PETERS CHRISTMAS SPECIAL, a new original comedy special for The Comedy Network and CTV.

The one-hour special features Brampton, Ontario’s favourite son paying tribute to the holidays with a mix of stand-up, sketch, stop-motion animation, and musical performances.

Also announced today were the list of international and Canadian superstars helping celebrate the holidays with Russell Peters, including: Canadian icon Michael Bublé; the incomparable Pamela Anderson; THE LOVE BOAT’s infamous bartender Isaac, Ted Lange; comedic actor Faizon Love; SNL alumnus Jon Lovitz; ETALK anchor Ben Mulroney; and fellow Bramptonian, THE KIDS IN THE HALL’s Scott Thompson.

Tastier and more dangerous than a cup of spiked eggnog, viewers can take in all the side-splitting holiday cheer this December when the special anchors the holiday lineups on The Comedy Network and CTV. Currently shooting in and around Toronto, broadcast details for A RUSSELL PETERS CHRISTMAS will soon be announced.

“We’re really excited to have Russell Peters help Canada celebrate the holidays this year,” said Corrie Coe, Senior Vice-President, Independent Production, Bell Media. “With this impressive line-up of performers participating, this will surely be a fantastic and funny show.”
