FX Canada sneak peek draws 1 million on Monday night

Days before the highly-anticipated launch of premium specialty channel FX Canada, Citytv’s special sneak preview of American Horror Story, Wilfred and The League proved Canadians are eager for out-of-the box specialty content.

Headlining the preview from 9pm – 10pm ET/PT on Monday night, the much-buzzed about American Horror Story drew 1 million (P2+) unique viewers nationally.

Following yesterday’s carriage announcement, FX Canada will also be available to newly confirmed Cable Cable. Subscribers to Rogers Digital, EastLink and Cable Cable will receive a two-month free-view of FX Canada beginning Oct. 31 when network launches.

Cable Cable systems cover Fenelon Falls, Sturgeon, and Bobcaygeon, Ontario, on channel 97 (standard definition) and 315 (high definition). For additional carriage information, please contact local television providers. 

Psycho-sexual thriller American Horror Story, dark comedy Wilfred, and cheeky comedy The League will all kick off the launch of FX Canada on Monday, Oct. 31 beginning at 9pm ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes of American Horror Story. This provocative psycho-sexual thriller stars Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights), Dylan McDermott (The Practice), Academy Award® winner Jessica Lange (Grey Gardens), Frances Conroy (Six Feet Under), Taissa Farmiga (Higher Ground) and Denis O’Hare (True Blood). Following American Horror Story, critically-acclaimed comedy Wilfred and fantasy football comedy The League will both premiere at 11pm ET/PT and 11:30pm ET/PT, respectively. 

Other series included in the robust FX Canada schedule include current season episodes of the Emmy® Award nominated comedy Louie, starring Louis C.K.; the first two seasons of the Golden Globe®-winning drama Sons of Anarchy; Lights Out; and Terriers.
