Corus Entertainment and NBCUniversal Television Canada extend multi-year agreement

Corus Entertainment Inc. (TSX: CJR.B) and NBCUniversal Television Canada today announced the renewal of their exclusive output distribution deal.

This multi-year agreement, which encompasses linear and non-linear rights, provides Corus Entertainment’s premium pay TV service, Movie Central with access to an extensive catalogue of new theatrical feature film titles from the acclaimed Hollywood studio and content provider.

Among the big screen hits from NBCUniversal that will be featured on Movie Central in 2011 and 2012 are: Little Fockers, The Adjustment Bureau starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt, Judd Apatow’s box office hit Bridesmaids and the upcoming release Tower Heist starring Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy, to name a few.

Movie Central offers subscribers a compelling blend of top tier content that ranges from exclusive film, documentary and scripted drama to sports and special event programming.

Financial terms are not being disclosed.
