Highly anticipated talk series Anderson kicks off Sept. 12 on CTV and CTV Two

Daytime’s hottest new talk series ANDERSON premieres with exclusive access to stories stripped from the latest headlines, Monday, September 12 at 3 p.m. ET on CTV Two and 5 p.m. ET on CTV (visit CTV.ca to confirm local broadcast times).

ANDERSON kicks off its premiere week with a one-on-one interview with Amy Winehouse’s family following her untimely death, a spray-tanning session with JERSEY SHORE’s Snooki, as well as interviews with Hollywood A-lister and style icon, Sarah Jessica Parker, and the rest of the cast of her new movie I Don’t Know How She Does It.

Anderson also speaks candidly with Gerard Depardieu in a hilarious look back at the events that caused Anderson’s now famous live, on-air giggle moment.

Airing Monday-Friday, the multi-topic one-hour show hosted by irreverent news icon Anderson Cooper taps into his compassion and fascination with the human condition, while bringing viewers the latest news in social issues, trends and events, pop culture, human interest stories and populist news.

Below are the first week of topics for ANDERSON airing Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. ET on CTV Two and 5 p.m. ET on CTV beginning September 12.


Monday, September 12

Anderson kicks off his premiere show with an exclusive interview with the parents and boyfriend of Grammy Award®-winner Amy Winehouse, who was found dead at the age of 27 in her North London home this past July. Mitch and Janis Winehouse discuss for the first time their daughter’s long and public battle with substance abuse, how they have been coping since her passing as well as the reality of addiction in hopes of helping other families dealing with similar situations. Anderson also speaks with Winehouse’s boyfriend, Reg Traviss, about her state-of-mind before her untimely and tragic death.


Tuesday, September 13

Spray tanning with Snooki (JERSEY SHORE), sun bathing with houseguest Kathy Griffin (MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST) and chatting with Daniel Radcliffe about taking risks after Harry Potter, are just some of the surprises Anderson has in store for viewers during this jam-packed summer show. Anderson also discusses his now infamous uncontrollable giggle fit with a one-on-one interview with French actor Gerard Depardieu.


Wednesday, September 14

Anderson speaks with two 24-year-old women who miraculously survived and remained resilient after facing some of the most extreme cases of abandonment as infants. Baby Jane Doe and Miraculous Mary were both separately discarded and left to die as infants, each only discovering who they were through headlines in the newspapers. These two remarkable women meet for the first time on Anderson and share their inspirational stories.


Thursday, September 15

Anderson explores the longstanding debate of stay-at-home moms vs. working moms with Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex And The City), Greg Kinnear (Little Miss Sunshine), Christina Hendricks (MAD MEN) and Olivia Munn (PERFECT COUPLES), who all star in the new film, I Don’t Know How She Does It. Anderson also speaks candidly with real working moms and stay-at-home moms about their respective decisions. 


Friday, September 16

Anderson welcomes the cast of THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS, Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, Camille Grammer and Adrienne Maloof, to discuss the reality of reality TV. Topics include the recent suicide of cast mate Taylor Armstrong’s husband, exploring if the show was responsible for his death. Camille also discusses her painful divorce from Kelsey Grammer, revealing more details about the timing of his affair.
