Action unveils fall lineup with bite

Action unveils a Fall lineup of addictive truTV programming that viewers can’t find anywhere else. Featuring a thrashing tow truck, jailhouse hooligans, intoxicated barkeeps and Danny Bonaduce, the all-new Fall schedule takes off on Monday, August 29, 2011.

The top destination channel for a combination of high-energy hit movies complemented by high-stakes series, Action ranked among the top three Specialty Digital channels for Spring 2011*.

Providing viewers with non-stop access to explosive programming, the channel has experienced a 31 per cent growth in its Adult 25-54 audience and achieved a 29 per cent spike in Males 25-54** over the past five years.

Fans will recognize the familiar faces from All Worked Up when the towing gang get their own spinoff series, Lizard Lick Towing. Cameras capture every dangerous car seizure and parking lot standoff as Ron, Amy and their team of repo men navigate the rough-and-tumble action in Lizard Lick, North Carolina. Lizard Lick Towing premieres with back-to-back episodes on Tuesday, August 30 at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. ET.

Wednesdays are a full house, beginning with Las Vegas Jailhouse, where what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas – unless it makes bail. Go behind bars with the men and women of law enforcement and witness the fights, drunken rampages, terrifying showdowns and meet hilarious oddballs detained from the Las Vegas Strip. Las Vegas Jailhouse premieres with back-to-back episodes on Wednesday, August 31 at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. ET.

The mischief continues on Full Throttle Saloon, the world’s largest biker bar that only opens for 10 days out of the year. Viewers watch as the owner, Mike Ballard, attempts to turn a profit during the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The hardest part is keeping his rowdy patrons and eccentric staff in line, which is more than anyone could handle. Full Throttle Saloon premieres Wednesday, August 31 at 10 p.m. ET.

Cap off Wednesday nights with a bang on Smoking Gun Presents. Danny Bonaduce, Leif Garrett, Judy Gold and other stars add comical commentary to the most amazingly stupid, real-life videos featuring dumb criminals, reckless drivers and partiers-gone-wild. Smoking Gun Presents premieres Wednesday, August 31 at 11 p.m. ET.

Returning smash-hits include new seasons of Action’s most watched series Hardcore Pawn along with Southern Fried Stings, All Worked Up, Bait Car and Top 20 Most Shocking.

The adrenaline rush doesn’t stop there. A stellar lineup of movie network premieres await viewers this Fall with blockbuster titles including Terminator Salvation, Fast & Furious, Cop Out, The Road, The Losers and District 9.

In October, Action gives viewers something else to chew on with a free preview all-month long on Bell TV and Cogeco Cable.
