Survivor renewed for two more seasons

Survivor has been given the greenlight to keep going for another two years.

American network CBS confirmed that the granddaddy of reality shows will return for a 23rd and 24th seasons during the 2011-2012 season.

“Survivor is a programme franchise that continues to stand the test of time,” said Jennifer Bresnan, the network’s vice president of alternative programming.

“Each season delivers new faces, exotic places, the ultimate social experiment combined with game play, and one of the most engaged audiences anywhere on primetime television.”

Jeff Probst will continue on as host and executive producer.
