Spy drama Undercovers axed

The plug has been pulled on new spy drama series Undercovers.

American network NBC has decided to bring the series, which features two Africa-European leads in Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, to an end.

The J.J. Abrams-produced series began well, with its first few episodes praised by critics but of late it has faded in the ratings.

The network said they would still air the remaining six episodes that have been produced.

The show screens in Canada on Citytv.
