When a group of thieves target the homes of young Hollywood, Detectives Rex Winters (Skeet Ulrich) and Tomas “TJ” Jaruszalski (Corey Stoll) discover there is more to the crimes than meets the eye. After the perpetrators are uncovered, another shocking crime is committed at the home of young starlet Chelsea Sennett (guest star Danielle Panabaker, Mr. Brooks) and her stage mom, Trudy (guest star Shawnee Smith, Saw VI). As everyone starts turning on each other, Deputy District Attorney Morales (Alfred Molina) remains intent on exposing the real ringleader. The new series also stars Oscar� nominated actor Terrence Howard (Hustle & Flow) as Deputy D.A. Jonah “Joe” Dekker.

A man suffering from “anesthetic awareness” finds himself awake and aware during heart surgery. His mother must wrestle with her own demons while trying to unfold the story hidden behind her son’s young wife. Stars Hayden Christensen, Jessica Alba and Terrence Howard.

A 13-year old Canadian hockey player, Jordy Martin (Alexander De Jordy, The Good Witch), organizes a tournament to make amends for the horrible treatment an American team received during a visit to Canada in 2003. As the Iraq War makes headlines, a bus carrying a team of 12-year-old American hockey players makes its way to the tournament in Canada only to be met by anti-war protesters who attack their bus and heckle the young players to “go home.” After this bitter experience the American boys and their families vow never to return to Canada. Jordy then takes it upon himself to change their minds and feel welcomed in Canada.

Gwen is kidnapped by the villain Hengist, who mistakes her for Morgana. Uther refuses to pay the ransom, so Arthur sets out to rescue her himself. Gwen, meanwhile, is reunited with Lancelot (Santiago Cabrera), who’s also being held captive by the outlaw.

The season premiere brings viewers into the eye of the storm that capsized and sank the SV Concordia last February. W5’s Sandie Rinaldo takes viewers on a journey that recounts the shocking and emotional tale of the mostly Canadian students shipwrecked at sea after a freak storm. What emerges is an in-depth account of the young sailors desperately clambering aboard rafts, clinging to life in raging winds and a seething sea for 41 hours.

TIFF coverage profiles director Julian Schnabel retrospective exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario, which coincided with the premiere of his film at the festival; an eclectic assortment of documentarians whose films screened this year; and the fascinating film-as-art installations by the renowned Canadian auteurs Guy Maddin and Atom Egoyan.
