This topical thriller sees oil company executives, environmental activists and politicians collide in a battle between economic success and ecological responsibility. The two-part film centres on Tom (Rupert Penry-Jones), the new head of Arrow Oil who is pulled into a high-stakes game of power and international intrigue; Tom’s colleague, Holly (Neve Campbell), whose covert collaboration with environmentalists puts her in great jeopardy; and Tom’s best friend Mack (Bradley Whitford), a charismatic yet unscrupulous oil industry lobbyist. Burn up follows the trio’s lives and loves as they hurtle towards a global climate change summit in Calgary.

Charlie (Charlie Sheen) discovers that Chelsea (Jennifer Taylor) hasn’t been completely honest about her finances.

J.J. Abrams is developing a new drama series which will center on the infamous island prison of Alcatraz.

The former Lost producer will re-team with another Lost alum in executive producer Elizabeth Sarnoff to develop the project.

Sarnoff will write the pilot episode for the unnamed series whose plot is under a cloud of secrecy.

The project is understood to be based on an original idea sold to Abrams’ Bad Robot production company.
