All hell breaks loose with the dawn of Dead Set, October 3 on Space

Hold on to your stomachs and get ready for gore – the dead are coming back to life and attacking the living!

Britain’s blood-soaked DEAD SET makes its grisly North American debut Sundays at 10 p.m. ET, beginning Oct. 3, exclusively on SPACE.

Hyped by notorious zombie-fanatic Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead) as “…bloody good,” the five-part British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA)-nominated horror drama kicks-off with a special one-hour episode and continues every Sunday until Oct. 31.

For viewers craving more DEAD SET, SPACE regurgitates the entire season in all its gory glory with a special Halloween encore marathon of the half-hour splatterfest beginning at 10:30 p.m. ET. Viewers with an appetite for the extraordinary can also feast their brains on spacecast.com for DEAD SET episodes on demand.

Set during a fictional taping of BIG BROTHER UK, DEAD SET stars Jaime Winstone (Kidulthood) as Kelly, the production runner who finds herself fending off the walking dead alongside the remaining housemates. Cocooned in the safety of the BIG BROTHER house, the remaining contestants are blissfully unaware of the horrific events unfolding outside. As eviction night looms, Britain is in the grip of an apocalyptic crisis where fast-moving hoards of the undead decimate the studio compound and the rest of the country.

DEAD SET was nominated for a BAFTA for “Best Drama Serial” in 2009. Previous Best Drama Serial winners include SEE NO EVIL: THE MOORS MURDERS (2007), BRITZ (2008), CRIMINAL JUSTICE (2009) and OCCUPATION (2010).

DEAD SET is written by award-winning journalist, comic writer and broadcaster Charlie Brooker (SCREENWIPE, NATHAN BARLEY). The housemates include Chizzy Akudolu (The Vagina Monologues), Warren Brown (SHAMELESS, LIFE ON MARS), Beth Cordingly (SECRET DIARY OF A CALL GIRL), Adam Deacon (Kidulthood), Kevin Eldon (SPACED), Raj Ghatak (Bombay Dreams) and Kathleen McDermott (WEDDING BELLES).

DEAD SET also features a range of cameo appearances including BIG BROTHER UK presenter Davina McCall and several former housemates.
