Sons of Anarchy will take to the emerald isle for parts of the upcoming season of the drama series.

The show’s executive producer Kurt Sutter announced at Comic-Con that the show will shoot scenes in Ireland.

Due to the second season finale’s storyline of Abel being kidnapped, the characters will travel to Ireland in order to track him down.

Ron Perlman (Clay) said: “We are obsessively and unrestingly trying to find the kid and answer this horrific violation.”

Charlie Hunnam (Jax) added: “Our pursuit of Abel really breaks open the world. John Teller had a lot to do with Ireland and the origin of gun running and the Sons Of Anarchy. So it’s through us going to Ireland, inevitably, we learn a little bit more.”

The new season premieres later in the year.
