CTV News At Six remains most watched TV program in Edmonton

The BBM Canada Spring 2010 ratings report was issued today and revealed that CTV continues to be Edmonton’s number-one choice for television news seven days a week, with more viewers than all competition combined.

CTV NEWS AT SIX continues to be the number one television program in the market and leads the list of CTV’s 12 of the top 20 shows overall.* CTV NEWS AT SIX with Daryl McIntyre and Carrie Doll averaged 134,400 viewers from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.*

“This station works very hard to earn the trust of the communities we serve,” said Lloyd Lewis, CTV Edmonton Vice-President and General Manager. “We are honoured that so many viewers in this region continue to choose CTV. It is a responsibility we never take for granted.”

Glenn Kubish, Director of News and Public Affairs added: “Our committment to the viewers in our community is second to none. It is so gratifying to see that the people of Edmonton and Northern Alberta value the hard work and dedication of our team.”

Beyond the success of local news, CTV also enjoyed another successful season of entertainment programming. Hits like THE MENTALIST, GREY’S ANATOMY and COLD CASE allowed CTV to dominate regularly scheduled programming with 12 of the top 20 shows.*
