She comes to Global having co-anchored CityTV’s primetime newscast for more than two decades. A media veteran who hails from a long line of Canadian journalists, Leslie began his storied career in radio and made the jump to television in 1985 at CTV Montreal. After a ‘tour of duty’ in the United States with TV News in New York in the late 90s, Leslie returned home in 2000 to become a valued member of the Global News family in Montreal. He joined Global Toronto in 2001 and has led its award-winning news team ever since.

“Anne has had an outstanding career in local television and has made an enormous contribution to Toronto,” said Leslie. “I welcome the opportunity to work with her and know she will be an invaluable addition to our news organization.”
