Canada will soon have its own pay TV porn channel.

From October 28 this year, ‘Vanessa’ will be the first French-language adult entertainment channel in the country, with an English version following a year later.

The service is said to offer a range of X-rated dramas, reality shows, documentaries and variety shows which will be available for the monthly price of $14.95.

The Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission will keep an eye on the channel, making sure it sticks to the industry codes set up for this type of channel. This means 20% of all content aired will have to be local, with the rest able to be filled with abundant US programming.

Montreal-based Sex-Shop Television will now look to distribute the channel to various cable and satellite services.
