Following over 1 million votes, host Leah Miller announced live on CTV tonight that AMY and AUSTIN received the lowest number of the country’s votes and had been eliminated from SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA.

The eight remaining dancers will take to the stage for a super sized, two-hour Performance Episode on Tuesday, October 6 beginning at 8 p.m. ET on CTV.

The two girls and two guys who received the lowest number of votes following last night’s countrywide poll were girls AMY and MELANIE, and guys AUSTIN and CODY. With voting now based on individual competitors instead of couples, these dancers then had the opportunity to take to the stage to dance a solo. Although their performances wouldn’t change the results, for two competitors, it would be their last chance to perform on the program.

In the end, host Leah Miller announced live that AMY, 21, a Contemporary dancer from Calgary, AB, who danced a Contemporary number with CODY this week and AUSTIN, 20, a Contemporary dancer from Mississauga, ON, who danced a Hip-Hop routine with JAYME RAE this week, received the lowest number of votes and would be going home.
