Everybody’s Children

Airing Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, on THE LENS

Everybody’s Children tells the story of Joyce and Sallieu, who fled from the Democratic Republic and Sierra Leone, traumatized and now alone in Canada. With little help from the Canadian government, it’s up to organizations like the Salvation Army and Matthew House, a shelter in Toronto, to give them support. Directed by Monika Delmos, Everybody’s Children was a winner of the National Film Board of Canada’s Reel Diversity competition, an NFB initiative in partnership with CBC and CBC Newsworld.
