Encore presentation Thursday, July 9 at 9pm ET

In this hard-hitting, one-hour special, Jamie investigates the hidden threats of popular convenience foods using 18 volunteers with self-confessed bad diets as human guinea pigs. Using a series of dramatic demonstrations – including the autopsy of a 350 pound man who ate himself to death – Jamie, physician and fitness expert Dr Catherine Spencer-Smith, nutritionist Jane Clarke and anatomist Dr Gunther von Hagens show these 18 volunteers what harm their terrible diets are doing to them. More importantly they also demonstrate what they can do to change their ways and become healthier.

Want to know which shows have been the most popular so far this summer with Canadians? So You Think You Can Dance is number one overall; starting with the Wednesday night performances, and followed by the Thursday night results show. Many of the other hit summer shows that make the list are aired by CTV. CSI Miami, Merlin, and CSI New York all make the top 5.

The top Canadian shows viewed by Canadians so far this summer, are the hit new show the Listener which brought in 1.079 million viewers the week of June 15- June 21st , which took 6th place overall with Canadians and Canada’s Next Top Model at #27 with 707,000 viewers last week.

While some shows have clear popularity with Canadian viewers, the declining numbers for many shows demonstrate that many Canadians are getting outside and stepping away from the TV to enjoy the nice summer weather.

Rebeccah’s Runway Hopes Ruined on Tonight’s Episode of CTV’s CANADA’S NEXT TOP MODEL

  • Catch encore presentations on Star!/FT, MTV, and ‘A’
  • The next episode of CNTM airs on Tuesday, June 30 at 8 p.m. ET

After a challenging week both at the model mansion and in front of the camera, Rebeccah is eliminated from CANADA’S NEXT TOP MODEL. The 18-year-old from Cambridge, ON is the sixth model hopeful to head home, leaving just five girls vying for the title of CANADA’S NEXT TOP MODEL.

It was a busy week for the top six. After a crash course in media training from MTV’s Dan Levy and Jessi Cruickshank, the girls were thrown head first into a real-life media challenge at LG Fashion Week in Toronto. Amidst industry elite, they posed for paparazzi and were put on the spot by two of CTV’s hottest entertainment correspondents – Lainey from ETALK and LainyGossip.com and Trevor Boris from MuchMusic’s VIDEO ON TRIAL. Nikita’s outgoing personality proved to be an asset helping her win the challenge and a $4,000 shopping spree at Holt Renfrew. The photo challenge was particularly difficult as the girls had to model against each other in the same shot. Unfortunately Rebeccah was out of her comfort zone and it showed; the judges decided to set her free to pursue other dreams.

“To be honest, I’m kind of relieved,” she said on her departure. “The pressure was really intense and it was a bit terrifying at times.”

In next week’s all-new episode, premiering Tuesday, June 30 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV, Host Jay Manuel and a special guest shock the Final 5 when they announce that they’ll be making their second international trip of the competition – this time, to New York City. Hopefully everyone has their passports this time! The models race through fashion hot spots, meeting major designers and the fashion elite in a bid to make an impression. At the NYC photo shoot challenge, the competitors pose with a NYC icon behind them, then spin through the city with $5,000 in their pocket. In a tense and controversial judging, one model is sent packing.
