What Will Canadians Watch this Summer on TV? Introducing the Summer 2009 TV Lineup!

With some of Canada’s most popular shows wrapping up their seasons for the summer; it’s time for Canadians to wonder what’s new on TV to watch during the long summer evenings when it’s time to seek shelter from the heat and curl up in front of primetime television.
Fortunately Canadians, this summer will not be all about reruns (although you will find quite a few of those as well) on TV; some new shows and old favorites will be airing new episodes for your viewing enjoyment. Tune into a few of my picks below, and stay tuned to read synopses for some of the new network TV shows that you will be watching for the first time. Jon & Kate Plus 8 – May 25th at 9pm
Cake Boss – premiers May 25th at 10pm
The Little Couple – May 25th at 10pm
Table for 12 – continues to show new episodes Mondays at 9pm
Say Yes To The Dress – continues to show new episodes Fridays at 10pm

CTV:

Canada’s Next Top Model – begins Tuesday May 26th, 2009 at 8pm
So You Think You Can Dance Canada – with the casting tour wrapping up on May 26th, So You think You Can Dance Canada has yet to release a new airing date for its second season, but perhaps we can expect a summer launch

MTV Canada/NBC

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of here – premiers Monday, June 1st at 8pm

NBC:

Law and Order Criminal Intent – new season premiers Monday, June 8th
The Philanthropist – premiers Wednesday, June 24th at 10pm

HBO Canada:

True Blood Season 2 – premiers on Sunday, June 14th
