George O’Malley Dead on Grey’s Anatomy?

According to E! Online, George O’Malley will not be a returning character on next season of Grey’s Anatomy. While the cliff-hanger season finale left George flat lining, viewers had hope that Seattle Grace doctors might help the character make a miracle recovery with medical intervention – however, according to these reports, it’s time that we stop getting our hopes up.

There have been rumors for quite some time that T.R. Knight has wanted out of his Grey’s Anatomy contract, which creator Shonda Rhimes recently denied; however, with his declining screen time on the show any dissatisfaction with his role would not be surprising.

Naturally, ABC representatives have refused to comment on these rumors – which would spoil one of the most dramatic plotlines that viewers have encountered for some time watching the hit show that airs on CTV in Canada.

I think it goes without saying that you’ll have to tune into next season’s premier episode in order to get some closure on plotlines which have left characters played by T.R. Knight and Katherine Heigl in limbo, hanging somewhere between life and death.
