America’s Next Top Model Returns

Catfights on the catwalk are back in season! High stress and high stakes greet the newest group of supermodel wannabes as they try to impress high profile fashion gurus in Cycle 12 of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, premiering Wednesday, February 25 at 8 p.m. ET on ‘A’ (visit Atv.ca to confirm local broadcast times). Also rolling out the television runway for AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL are Star! and FashionTelevisionChannel, which will also air the series beginning Saturday, February 28 at 10 p.m. ET (Star!) and Sunday, March 1 at 7 p.m. ET (FashionTelevisionChannel). With cameras capturing each moment of the rigorous modeling boot camp in Cycle 12, supermodel host and mentor Tyra Banks – along with a team of fashion industry experts – lead the 13 finalists through the competition where they learn about inner and outer beauty.

The premiere of a new season of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL comes on the heels of CANADA’S NEXT TOP MODEL casting tour that wrapped up last week with more than a thousand runway hopefuls turning up at malls across the country. Hosted by Scarborough, Ontario, native and AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL mainstay Jay Manuel, Cycle 3 of the Gemini Award-winning CANADA’S NEXT TOP MODEL kicks off this spring on CTV (broadcast details to follow; visit model.ctv.ca for more info on CANADA’S NEXT TOP MODEL).

In AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, Banks, along with photo shoot art director Jay Manuel, and runway guru J. Alexander, mentor the participants through each of their weekly challenges. Banks leads the panel of judges, comprised of leading fashion industry experts such as supermodel Paulina Porizkova, photographer Nigel Barker and runway expert J. Alexander, who closely evaluate the progress of the models and narrow the field each week. In addition, special guest judges appear to critique the participants within his or her area of expertise.
